Real talk here: Bait is one of those where you absolutely have to suspend disbelief because otherwise the whole damn dramatic house of cards comes tumbling down. But holy Hecate, if I don't adore this ridiculous book even still and if it didn't raise some serious spicy stakes. Leo and Abigail meet through an online site where she begs for a dubcon experience; both have significant baggage, but their kinks align and they build something beautiful together. First off, Leo Scott is sexy and dirty AF and I adored him. Abigal is a freaking legend (who has zero self preservation skills, but that's neither here nor there). I also loved the thriller plotline with Leo's brother and his significant other. It's a lyrical book with the style almost reading like poetry rather than an actual narrative. Even still, it'a somehow beautiful and enjoyable. PS...PAY ATTENTION TO THE TRIGGERS!
