My thoughts about Tamlin in the first book were correct. I honestly am appalled at the way Tamlin treated Feyre. It was pure abuse and as someone who has lived with emotional abuse, this was a very hard book to read. The amount of anger I felt, I had to put the book down and watch Top Chef for ten minutes until I calmed down. I understand that Tamlin was pretty traumatized from what happened Under the Mountain but at the same time, that doesn’t excuse what he did to Feyre and the abhorrent behavior he displayed to his subjects in his court. It just made me so sick.

In other news, I have a new ship. Feyre and Rhys are the absolute dream team. The way he respects her. Feyre also has a choice with Rhys. He never forces her to do things she doesn’t want to do. He protects her but at the same time, lets her be her own person. They both help each other heal. It truly felt like they were made for each other. I just loved the support that they gave one another. It made my heart so happy, especially after all the events from Under the Mountain.

The rest of my notes are just me fangirling over Rhys and Feyre so I suppose I will end the review here. Literally, my notes were along the lines of “OMGGGGG!! FEYRE AND RHYS FOREVER!” It’s embarrassing honestly. I’m supposed to be this professional book reviewer over here. Ah well. This is my favorite book out of the series so far. SJM knows how to write grief so well. I just can't get over how good this book was. Especially Feyre and Rhys. they are just so perfect. I just know you all will get sick of me gushing about Rhys and Feyre. I’m sick of myself.
