This book was cozy and one of the first graphic novels I've genuinely enjoyed reading. It had an easy-to-look-at art style and was highly digestible with its short chapters and high pace. The only thing that kinda let me down about this book was the twist at the end. Since I still recommend this book, I'll put what I don't like in a spoiler tab. It's a very cozy and Halloween-y read and it was something not usually at my reading level but I still loved it. I would recommend it to get back into reading or to get into graphic novels.
Okay, Josiah confessing to Deja at the end completely came out of nowhere. While it was obvious that Deja liked Josiah, he gave absolutely no signs of having mutual feelings. I see them better off as friends and didn't sense that kind of chemistry with them. It just felt like a twist at the end just for the shock factor and nothing else. Kinda dampens the whole experience of the book and it felt really predictable. I would still recommend it though, since the rest of the book was so enjoyable.
