The Bomber Mafia: A Dream, a Temptation, and the Longest Night of the Second World War by Malcolm Gladwell

5.0

Fascinating audiobook, not just for the historical account, but for the way Gladwell blended different voices, resources, recordings, and so forth into a seamless account of a crucial moment in history. In the years just prior to WWII, various groups explored the potential capabilities of warfare in the air, and strategic and ethical considerations came together to help define next steps...sometimes in ways that we might now regret.

I would also venture to guess that many more authors will make efforts to write for an audiobook audience now that Gladwell has demonstrated some of the enhanced capabilities of audiobooks. At least I hope so.
