catb7 's review for:
Detransition, Baby
by Torrey Peters
LOVED this book. Half wish it could be developed into a series so that the characters and their points of view could stick around in my life for longer. So much of the dialogue and descriptions were masterfully written and/or felt stunningly realistic; I was floored.
I had seen this book floating around on bestseller and "to read" lists for months but was put off by the deceptive title. Luckily, one of y'all in my friends list (I don't remember who?) posted about the book being not at all what the title seemed to insue, so I decided to give it a try. To whoever you were, THANK YOU.
I was disappointed by the ending for reasons I can't quite pinpoint and almost knocked it down to 4 stars for that reason, but I also can understand why the author wrote it that way.
