i’ve read most of maas’ other works back in highschool and i went into this expecting more of the same. after a certain point you definitely know what to expect out of her books. it was fine, i didn’t find many of the characters particularly gripping, but i thought the world and setting were interesting. i’ll be continuing the series but i’m not expecting masterpieces
