To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini

Wow, what a read. I stayed up way too late finishing this book. The worldbuilding is excellent, you are drawn into the world that Paolini has created from the first page, and although there are many foreign aspects to it, they are easily integrated into the story and flow beautifully. The story is gripping, winding and turning through events in a highly satisfying manner. It gave me space opera meets Firefly vibes, and I loved it.
