I read this book. The beginning book in a series that will be a good read for anyone who likes fantasy.
Rosie lives either mom in a small town on the coast of Maine. Her mother barely acknowledges her existence let alone actually care for her. Rosie’s makes the best of it. Her best friend Germ is growing up and making new friends. Rosie decides she needs to quit being so child like and burns her stories. Very soon after she starts seeing ghosts. She learns her mom was a witch hunter. She finds out many things on the quest to fix her mom.
