That scene at the waterfall, only thirty percent of the way into the book, was fire 🔥🤭🫣 All the flirting and banter, the chemistry is clutch-your-pearls intense. This is a fast-paced suspenseful romance with a near insta-lust (insta-love) romance, though it doesn't happen instantly.
It is pretty taboo (MMC is her step-uncle) 😬, but hey, I enjoy a taboo romance from to time. This one pushed a few lines for me (Penelope isn't quite 18 when her uncle Jack realizes his true feelings for her), but that didn't make me want to stop either. I HAD to know what would happen!
