I enjoyed the book for what it is, science fiction horror mystery. Lovecraft’s worldbuilding, attention to detail, and imagination for otherworldly visions kept me captivated. To me the biggest weakness was the overly melodramatic descriptions, and the slow pacing of the first half of the book.
Moderate: Death, Blood, Injury/Injury detail
