Dear Daddy, Please Praise Me by Amy Bellows, Luna David
5.0
5/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.
Content Warnings for book: Low self-esteem, struggles of having a parent with Alzheimer’s
Kink: Daddy kink, praise kink, consensual somnophilia, lace and lingerie
Dear Daddy, Please Praise Me by Luna David and Amy Bellows is a sweet, adorable daddy/boy book set around Christmas time, though the Christmas cheer is no way overbearing and the praise kink is turned up to 150%.
Sanders and Briggs were absolutely perfect together. The first half of the book had a lot of tears for me as I could relate some to what Sanders was going through his mother, and just his experience of low self-esteem and struggles... yeah. For me, it was real and easy to connect to. This book isn't high angst by any means, it's just lots of hurt/comfort in the good way.
The sex scenes were hot. The love was magical. The descriptions so well-done and visceral, I could picture the cute moment at the tree farm. Seriously in love with this book!
Luna David's writing is excellent here. For some reason I thought I hadn't read her before but that isn't true - I read Tourist Attraction by her as well, which was another five-star read for me. I have to check out her other books! Seriously, if you want a book that's just a big hug, read this.
