Grave Ransom by Kalayna Price

5.0

This was a busy book with a lot going on. It's also been a while since reading my last Alex Craft novel so I had some catching up to do.
This is a creepy book. Yes, Alex Craft is a grave witch and creepiness can lend itself to the story. But this was extra creepy. Someone is taking souls from bodies and putting them in dead bodies to commit crimes. And there is definitely more to the story.
As well as the character interaction. Poor Alex is torn between the fae world and the real one. She also has to deal with the aftermath of using her magic. And dealing with relationships in all forms is taking a toll.
I started this at the beginning of this year with the thought that I'd have quiet time at work between tasks. I did for a bit then it got busy again. I also tend to read handheld print books on the back patio when the temps are nice. It just got nice in the last couple of days, so I took it and an iced green tea out to the back patio so I could finish.
I really liked this book and I wish it hadn't taken so long to read due to circumstances beyond-ish my control.
I can definitely recommend this book, series and author.
