This was offered as a low-priced ebook, and I love Sandford, so I figured I'd give it a try. He apparently co-authored this with his wife. It's a lot different than his Prey books, but just as addicting. What I didn't know was that it would end in a cliffhanger, forcing me to buy the next in the series. I blew through the so one in one day, and you guessed it, now I have to get the third! This could be characterized as YA, as the bulk of the characters are, but it's not focused on YA themes.
