Star Wars: Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter
by Michael Reaves
Even though I was a huge Star Wars kid, I never really dove into the Extended Universe. I'm not entirely sure why, but I simply spent my time elsewhere. However, I was given this book as a birthday present years ago, and I loved it. The characters were extremely well done, and I truly got the horror element to Maul's character. Essentially, this book is a stalker thriller more akin to the Halloween franchise than Star Wars.
Despite my enjoyment of this book, I didn't pick up another Star Wars novel until Aftermath. And even that was more out of boredom than interest. For the record, this book was better than Aftermath.
