Planet Zero by Lydia Hope

3.0

It started off different than the typical human crashes on an alien planet novel in that Addie has already been there for two years when the story starts and you get like three paragraphs about how she got there. I like that the romance was slow burn but I still felt like Zoark could have been more fleshed out and we didn't get a chance to see them be together so the ending felt kind of abrupt. Definitely gave off Last Hour of Gann vibes and I say that as a compliment.

Summary: Addie, who crash landed on the planet two years ago, has been living in a town where the rejects go when they're kicked from their tribe when giant sandworms destroy and kill everyone in the village except her. She encounters a new tribe and slowly integrates herself with them and with Zoark who is simultaneously intrigued by her and hates her for being human because of his past experience with human women. Love ensues.
