I strongly suggest reading this book. Also, I would never have probably found this book if it hadn't been for The StoryGraph too! Strongly suggest using that website because it does a great job of tracking the books you have read and liked and making recommendations based on those ratings.
But back to this book, I was extremely impressed with the historical relevance and the research the author did because even though this is a book of non fiction, it does a remarkable job of retelling major historical events. I have now fallen down the rabbit hole of researching this period and the key players from it. Strongly recommend!
