Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett

Looooved this book. Fabulous story, the combination of academic text and personal journal was so fun, the footnotes were EVERYTHING and I am immediately continuing with the next.

The first few chapters take some getting used to, but continuing on gives so much!

The comparison to Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is easily made, but I feel that does this book a disservice. It is a very good book by itself and I wish everyone liking (high) fantasy would give this one a try. The Folk are not all Lucien and Rhysand…
