Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren

5.0

4.5 stars

I'm starting to rely on Christina Laurens books so much these days. One of their last releases, 'Roomies' brought me out of my reading slump and their YA release 'Autoboyography' made my heart smile from the great LGBT representation. Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating was just such a refreshing, fun and funny read. Hazel was this fireball of a character, she was completely unapologetic about her quirkiness and she had no reason to be. She knew that she was a walking timebomb but continued to be herself even when her exes would shut her down.

Josh was probably one of the best male characters I've read about in a long, long time. He was mature and didn't judge. I didn't particularly understand his relationship with his girlfriend, Tabith aka Tabby (Yes, Tabby his girlfriend. Not a pet cat).

Overall this was a pretty solid New Adult romance. The only reason I knocked a 0.5 star off was due to the slight small twist near the end of the story. I just didn't think it was needed.
