Sadist is the first book in the Triarchy Collection-interconnected stand alone novels written by Chaos Davie.
First of all, I couldn’t put this book down. Once I started I had to finish. I don’t know what that says about me but let’s just add it to the list shall we?
Theo is a contract killer who takes on an assignment that ends up being more than she bargained for. Octavia was running and the minute she looked back was the second she got caught and was thrown right back into the world she was trying to avoid.
Theo wasn’t looking to fall in love, but when do we ever get a say so in that? She definitely wasn’t looking to fall for her assignment. But there’s something about Octavia that just calls out to her. No one has ever gotten under her skin the way this mogul’s daughter had.
Octavia. Stockholm syndrome much? She was not looking at her captor like she’s a full course meal and she hadn’t eaten in a week. Plus her father landed her where she was and all she was trying to do was stay away. But the way Theo looked at her, maybe there was more to her captor than she thought.
This story had me in a chokehold!! Both these women were strong and fierce in their own way. Their vulnerability was not a weakness and it brought them together in the most beautiful way. I did not see that ending coming and am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
