Honestly, it's either this or the first book. Those are my favorite of this series. I absolutely loved this one.

Allie and Dean are a very complicated and, in many cases, not very healthy couple. But their chemistry is off the roof. There was this understanding for each other between them that none of the other characters had.

At times they were what the other person needed the most. Their relationship wasn't the best, but they had each other's back.

One thing that didn't sit well with me is how quickly Dean changed his ways. I don't believe that a guy like him would be all of a sudden loyal. People like him take a lot of time to adapt to being in a relationship. And as I like to say: One a cheater, always a cheater.

As for the writing style, by now, you all know that I love how Elle Kennedy writes. Her books are great. There are two points of view, so you always know how both protagonists are feeling. The pacing of her novels is always on point.

In conclusion, I liked this novel. The development of some characters was a bit too fast but awesome. I gave this book four out of five stars on Goodreads. This series is easy to read, and I can highly recommend it if you're in a reading slump.
