Fractured Things by Samantha Lovelock

5.0

Fractured Things is the second book in Samantha Lovelock’s Folkestone Sins Series.

After fleeing Folkestone, Stella and Sunday try to forget the horrors they’ve left behind. Whilst Poe and the other Heirs are left living in the aftermath of the events in book one.

Stella is definitely a little more broken in this story, and emotions are well written throughout.

I do like the way the chapters are from both Stella and Poe, with each time Poe’s POV is introduced it takes you back a little on Stella’s previous POV’s. It’s almost like a mini refresher of the chapters read, but also allows for Stella’s story to be told without interruption. I don’t think I’ve really come across this before the Folkestone Sins Series.

Whilst some of the secrets of Folkestone, the Founding Families and the Heirs are starting to surface, we are again left with so much more to be told and even more secrets. But that builds the anticipation for the third book, Ruined Things.
