This was a ride, but something kept me from devouring it like I wanted to?
Such a unique kind of story! We all know I love a good love triangle. The problem for me was that the relationships didn't feel like the focus, even though they were in a way?
The plot was definitely plotting, but there were missed opportunities for relationships to build. Aaron truly felt like a one-sided thing, and Nick had a backstory with our FMC that we didn't really see and were only told about...
Whilst usually I'd love this kind of read, I feel like this was just the build-up for the next book, and so it took me a while to read
The ending was the only truly impactful part, and that really broke my heart because I had not put that together until it was happening. It's hard to surprise me!
Overall, I'm not sure if I'd fully recommend it unless you're more patient than I am, but I might edit this after the next book?
