It started off a bit slow for me and the two characters living in two different times made for an interesting and complex concept. I'm not typically into the time travel but this magical realism wasn't over the top. Ashley Poston does a really good job writing about grief in a beautiful way, not being overdramatic and making you feel with the character(s). It was an enjoyable read with a sweet happily ever after. I also love Ashley Poston's author note at the end; making the whole book's theme come full circle.
