Took me a very long time to finish reading this, what with my being in reading slump and the novella being a little unentertaining (*gasps*). I know it's supposed to be fast-paced and adventurous; and as such, really entertaining to read, but it just wasn't easy for me to slurp it up (as it were). Nonetheless, the concluding quote about how one must "cultivate" one's garden is a tasty treat for the mind to reflect upon. If I could take away just one thing from this book, it would be just this.
