I really enjoyed the story of John and Charlotte.

The tension between the characters was so real and raw despite their situation in Charlotte's brother not thinking John was good for her. I loved how comfortable they made each other feel and brought out new sides to each other. Even though they lived different lives, they always came back to each other one way or another!

I felt like the ending and resolution really dragged, which I guess is understandable since it was the 1800s  and they couldn't just call each other but it did make me get a bit frustrated LOL.

Overall, I did really enjoy it and loved both characters. They always tried their best to be the best for each other through all the drama and tribulations along the way.
