The Republic
by Plato
Extraordinarily outdated and problematic for the modern day - but the general idea of a logical dialectic resulting in human solutions is a brilliant study of human thought back in the day. And personally, I think the logic approach is interesting, even if flawed in it's assumption.
Unlike Aristotle who comes across as a very confident drunk cis het man saying, "Lads - have you considered, like, maybe you shouldn't be too drunk? But also not too sober?"
Not that it's a contest. Plato helped me quit smoking by pointing out that addiction begets further addiction. So I smoked to feel like a non-smoker, i.e not wanting a cigarette.
