Honestly I had no expectations from this collection. I was vaguely familiar with the New Mutants but was only familiar with Magik primarily as a character. I found them all delightful and the story as a whole was great - I was genuinely sad when it ended, because I took this volume out the library and I don't know if they have the second volume! Will have to check. Very fun.
