Rachel Field's Hitty: Her First Hundred Years by Rosemary Wells, Rachel Field, Susan Jeffers

4.0

To my surprise, I really enjoyed this classic. It has a few dated passages (and some stereotypes I describe in more detail here: http://newberryproject.blogspot.com/2008/12/hitty-aka-mehitabel.html ), but overall, I thought it was a charming, fast-moving story.
