this was a very cute story and a very, very slow burn. if you count the timeline before the story begins, the burn lasted about *6 years.* personally, I would have enjoyed a much quicker and spicier burn but that’s just me, and I enjoyed it regardless. I liked that the main character’s personal growth was the center of this story, rather than just her obsession w her love interest. we really see Eleanor grow throughout the novel! also, her relationship with Rozália was one of my absolute favorite parts of the book.
I also loved that this is a queer love story that doesn’t have homophobia as one of the main conflicts. happy pride!!
