I loved this book. I needed a nice palette cleanser from all the fantasy I’ve been reading and this did the trick! It has all of the elements of my favorite things. New Orleans, serial killer, true crime, and medical examiner. Those are weird things to like but to each their own. The twist really got me! I loved it! I should’ve seen it coming but I was so engrossed in the story I didn’t have time to let my brain fully wrap around all the tiny details.
Was it the best written book? No
Did I have a good time? Yes and that’s what gets it a high rating. It was the perfect length and doesn’t draw anything out longer than necessary. I’m looking forward to the next one. Put me on your arc list! I’ll actually enjoy it unlike some of these reviewers 😜
