duanur 's review for:
His Forsaken Bride
by Alice Coldbreath
This made me want to reread Wed by Proxy since I read Brides of Karadok series before Vawdrey Brothers.
I didn't think I would love this as much as I did since it is one of Alice Coldbreath's earlier works but it was so much fun. I love her heroines especially. Even though Fen wasn't as head strong as some of her other heroines I still really enjoyed her story.
Oswald could have groveled at the end but I always want the hero to grovel so that doesn't say much.
The court politics were interesting enough but I personally didn't care about Princess Una's controversy since I have already read her book and know what happened. To be honest I feel like I need to reread the books I didn't enjoy in the Brides of Karadok series because I might appreciate them more now.
Alice Coldbreath has bewitched me with her characters and unusual storylines, and I love her for it.
