The Mapping of Love and Death by Jacqueline Winspear

4.0

Audiobook: 09hr 54m

These books do a really great job of summarizing important prior plot points. Sometimes when binging an old show in our new modern format, the moments after a commercial break can give watching a stop-start whiplash kind of feel, and books written over years when read in quick succession often fall victim to a similar problem that pulls the reader out of the story with an overload of overlapping information. Winspear's narrative recollections are brief and to-the-point. It's a small thing, but worth mentioning, lest this review simply read "Yes, yes! More, please!" -- which really would suffice.
