We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.
I understand the author is trying to build tension but the reality of the writing style is that it start and stops so often that the tension never truly increases. The structure needs serious work. Honestly, the organization was so annoying and the mystery so obvious (and badly created), that I couldn’t be bothered to finish the book. Also, every character is one dimensional and boring. There is nobody you could care about as a reader and the anti-racism message is subverted by the actual book itself.
