The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
5.0
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. it felt like a cross between Canticle for Leibowitz and the Conclave - featuring monkish life and the copying of manuscripts and texts. This book features lots of Latin which I do not know hardly any so that made me feel I was missing things at times. This is also one of the rare times in which I was able to correctly predict the antagonist, so that was a tad disappointing. I really enjoyed the logy and philosophy discussed throughout and the sections dealing with the labyrinthine library were excellent.
