Sweet Like Whiskey by Emmy Sanders

5.0

Ashley
He is sunshine personified, comfortable and confident in who he is, Ash is not afraid of what he wants and who he wants. Moving to a sweet rural town with a view of mountains and gorgeous cowboys was an unexpected turn for Ash, but very much needed. Stagnant in his old life he needed a change and in a twist of fate he landed working for the most perfectly grumpy marshmallow he ever laid eyes on.
Sassy and charming are a few words to describe Ashley and he is making it very clear to Jack that he isn’t going anywhere, he’s in it for the long haul and he can show this man what it’s like to be loved… fully!

Jackson
Scorned by love before Jackson is understandable cautious when a whirlwind of sass and charm enter his life in the form a gorgeous man named Ash.
Jackson does everything he can to deny the connection shared between them, he has to protect himself this time, he cannot go through the pain again, but Ash doesn’t make it easy. It’s clear he has his eyes set on Jackson and Ash makes it known that Jackson is the man for him.
Jackson soon realises that Ashley isn’t temporary, their love isn’t temporary, Jackson can finally let himself fall and know that he will not hit the ground.

I adore me a grumpy sunshine and this was done PERFECTLY!
This introduction to the Darling brothers and there hilarious, charming and handsome family is perfect! I’m so excited for the next book.
