No strong representation of diverse characters or minority identities.
I really enjoyed the paranormal world in Forgotten and the relationship between the Heroine and her mates. However, I wasn't jiving with how naive and ignorant the Heroine was in this book. There were a lot of important conversations that kept getting put off because someone needed to eat or go to class, which I didn't have the patience to read.
But after reading the ending, I'm really excited for the next book in the series!
Safety Rating: Safe
• No cheating
• No OM drama
• Does have OW drama
– A coworker of Ryder's attempts to cause problems between Ryder and the Heroine
• Does have Ryder pushing the Heroine away
• No separation
Possible Triggers: Yes
• Panick attacks (on-page)
• Violence
• R@pe (including flashbacks of before/after the assault)
• Discussion of slavery and genocide
• PTSD
Ending:Cliffhanger
