I didn’t go into this book expecting to like it, I usually avoid books written by celebrities and I saw a few reviews saying this book was overhyped and was really disappointing, but the mass of good reviews here on #bookstagram convinced me to ask for this book for Christmas (yes, that is actually how long it was sitting on my shelf, and in that time I built it up massively in my head!)

And I was really not disappointed in the slightest!

This book is everything I’ve wanted from a book but never thought I’d ever be able to get, it is so, so witty and well put together, but most importantly it is insanely clever and intelligent, I haven’t read anything like this before. I could not put this book down, there was a twist in every chapter which absolutely kept me hooked!

I loved it so much, I couldn’t help myself from buying the second book (The Man Who Died Twice) almost immediately after finishing this one, and, so far, it hasn’t disappointed either!

@misterosman has a fantastic talent, I can’t gush on about this book enough and how brilliant it is!
