The ending of this book killed it for me. It was absolutely perfect up until that last chapter. It was such a horribly written ending that I actually refuse to acknowledge it as a canon ending, especially since it felt like the chapter before was the perfect ending. That last chapter basically made all of the character development null and defeated the point of the themes. My advice is to read it (because the rest of the book is actually incredible) and then just stop reading after the second to last chapter.
