Pyramids
by Terry Pratchett
Another 3.5-er, with apologies to the friend who loved loved LOVED this one. I just thought it was a little uneven. Some of it was hilarious - the Greatest Mathematician in the World, the perspective of the recently-deceased king, the Epheban philosophers - but some of it was just kind of okay.
I'm probably looking at it wrong (I'm bad at standing on my head), but I just didn't really get the whole time-bending pyramid stuff. With Terry Pratchett I don't usually let that sort of thing bother me, but he can do better and funnier.
Oh, I also loved the bickering priests. And the two morticians, or whatever they were. And Death's cameos were excellent, as always.
