An Unfinished Story by Boo Walker
4.0

When I started, I wasn’t sure what I’d end up rating this book. While I felt for Claire and Whitaker (especially the former for obvious reasons) for the most part, I feel bad for saying this, but there’s were times I’d find myself getting impatient with them for feeling sorry for themselves.

It wasn’t until the last 30% that I decided to bump my rating up. The connection between David’s WIP and what was going on in his real life was really touching. I learned a lot about the foster system in the US, and it even made me consider fostering or adopting a child someday.

Now that I’m done reading, I came to realize that Claire and Whitaker were very complex characters in their own ways, and the author showed their growth beautifully.
