I was happy to read Calder’s story & Felix was a perfect counterpart. I’m glad we got to understand Calder’s betting behavior & what it stemmed from, as well as Felix’s behavior too. Being roughly 5+ years apart this isn’t quite an age gap trope but instead a struggling single father to two girls who are initially his nieces. I don’t anticipate reading this book again honestly even though it includes a fairly big family group, I can be honest and say that if it were in my personal library I would rarely pick it up so it’s a no for the library but wasn’t a waste of time either! Gregory Salinas & Iggy Toma also narrated & this audio is definitely duet narration. Listened via Anyplay.
