No notes. This is absolute perfection! Gideon life is unbearably dark and bleak. Everyone sucks, to a delightful degree. Every place Gideon goes is some decadent decaying remnant of the past, and there's a feeling of impending doom hanging over everything. There's necromancy, there are swordfights, there are queer characters, and there's a murder mystery! The main thing I loved about this book was how funny it is! The dialogue is hilarious, and Gideon is the biggest goofball, which offsets the bleak setting perfectly. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
