The Story of Edgar Sawtelle
by David Wroblewski
I'm torn about this book . . . It is beautifully written, and although it took me a few pages longer than usual to get into it, I was pretty much hooked. 400 pages later, I felt the story had kind of lost its way a bit. And the ending, well . . . I felt that the story ended without fully revealing its hand. I was still struggling with some questions, and I came away feeling unresolved -- and not in the good way that makes you question and flesh things out long after you've closed the book. I was left feeling more puzzled than anything else.
I'd recommend it in passing, but I won't be reading it again.
