The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

5.0

reread June 2018
I wanted to reread in preparation for the release to make sure I loved it just as much as the first time..
And of course, I did!

original read
Oh my.
Ok. If I were to split hairs, it would be 4.75 stars. But I’m so giddy at the moment, I’m giving it all the stars.
The bare bones of the story isn’t anything new.
Girl hires escort.
They begin a fake relationship.
They fall in love.
But, this ended up being one of the most adorable romances I’ve ever read.
AND,it’s an own voices story!
So the splitting of hairs.
My main issue was with Philip. I understood why his character was needed, but I found his characterization to be quite random. And I enjoy smut, but there is a lot of it in this book (which I get considering the subject matter, but still).
This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2018, and it did not disappoint. If you’re a lover of romance, wonderful main characters, and just a feel good story?
