I have to admit this was my first Grisham book I've ever read, seen plenty of his movies adaptations but never read his books. If I was to formulate an opinion on the author from this book I'd have to say what has all the fuss been over because this one really fell short of my expectations. The characters were just duds, it wasnt that his writing was bad it was just that I didn't like his characters. I kept thinking they'd grow on me but they didnt it was as if they never grew or evolved from what they were on page 1. I feel bad being so harsh on my opinion but the big name author is really all that made me continue reading till the end. I won't give up on Grisham though I'll read another of his books because I know he's had some amazing stories, this just wasnt one of them.
