I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

fast-paced

5.0

5 - it makes me sad that I will never again be able to read this book for the first time - stars!

I don't usually reach for dystopian fiction but boy am I glad that I picked this up. Harpman's exploration of womanhood, intimacy, loneliness and the human condition is haunting, thought-provoking and quite cathartic. I will be thinking about the woman who has never met a man for a long, long time.
