My Review:

My gosh, I'm at a loss for words. I swear JLA will be the death of me.

I didn't realize just how much I have missed Daemon and Katy and this series as much as I did until I picked this book up. And being back in that world was absolutely worthwhile. But also being inside Daemon's head this time, alien babies everywhere, that was one hell of a fun ride!

Cocky and unbelievable arrogant, you can't help but love Daemon Black, even when he is being a giant douche. However, with Oblivion we get a major glimpse of his thoughts, his growth as a character, and his growing and conflicting emotions he experienced in the first book, and that was an eye-opener. How he viewed Katy from the first moment to when she really gets pushed into his life, that’s just wow. And he really stole my breath; he can be such a sweet guy. Daemon really is a complex, unique character and that becomes even more apparent with Oblivion.

I also loved that Oblivion isn't just a simple retelling of Obsidian either. No, it's like reading the first book for the first time. Jennifer gave us scenes that never even appeared in Obsidian that allowed me to see who Daemon was during that time, his emotions, the conflict going on within him, why he was so back and forth with Katy. It made me love him even more and understand him.

Now, I read the paperback copy first, and as soon as I was done, I got the kindle version. Which I highly recommend for lovers of this series to do. In the e-book version, JLA gives us a quick and more straightforward telling of Onyx and Opal. Though not as in-depth as Oblivion, it was still amazing to get glimpses of Daemon’s POV in those books. Which, as stated before, was a real eye-opener. Making me fall for him even more and really see and understand his character, thoughts, and feelings.

I LOVED this book. Truly. I felt that Jennifer did a great job at re-telling of Obsidian in Daemon’s POV. Lovers of this series and of Daemon Black, pick this one up!
