I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review

As a woman in STEM I am generally pretty skeptical of STEM related books (looking at your Ali Hazelwood). However since this really only entailed one main character in STEM rather than two I felt it was handled better than books I've read in the past.

Jackie is a member of mission control at NASA in Houston and dreams of one day becoming an astronaut. BUT since she is a woman in STEM it's required of her to be awkward and introverted (yawn). She forces herself into an 'experiment' to get a social life and has a cast of auxiliary characters thrust upon her. And a mysterious hottie MMC.

The relationship between Flinn and Jackie is pretty evenly matched - they are both naturally inquisitive and like to fix things...maybe even to the detriment of their own relationships. Each carry a lot of baggage that could have easily been dealt with by honest conversation in getting to know each other - which only solidifies why I HATE the use of miscommunication as a plot device. Beware the 3rd act breakup will probably make you want to strangle the characters for a bit.

All in all, this was my first Sara Hudson and she created a world where I genuinely believe she may have wanted to be an astronaut one day with the level of detail she brings to the NASA scenes in this book. Coupled with some standard spicy romance interludes and you have a fun, quirky STEM oriented rom com

The audiobook performances by Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuels was perfection. Sam is a staple in my library so I knew what to expect, but Lee was new to me and I was VERY impressed. I will definitely be looking to add more of his titles to my library. They both brought the right level of energy to both the main characters but also the main side characters (Rose, Trish, Holt in particular).
