Tell Me What You Did
by Carter Wilson
I loved that there was a video element mixed in with the story and really appreciated that the acknowledgements were a video as well. It was creative and new and fun.
The premise of the book was interesting, but the dialogue was too unnatural and exaggerated. This was especially apparent in the videos when Poe is speaking to the camera. It's unrealistic to think someone would talk like that during such tense moments. It all felt a little too melodramatic and YA for my liking. And the flipping back and forth from one time to another kind of killed the suspense. By the end, I was getting sick of Poe and just wanted the story to be about her dad and the pets.
Overall an easy read but nothing to write home about.
