A lovely middle grade book. I especially enjoyed this book because of my dad's love for his own pony and my dear aunt's love for her four wonderful horses. Black Beauty feels like a somewhat forgotten children's classic, but a worthy story for young readers. Written from the perspective of the horse, it was a new reading experience for me when I was a kid.
